PCSO started the lotto game in 1995.

As of May 2015, a total of 2,021 lotto bettors has won the lotto jackpot.

Data from the PCSO showed that since the first Lotto 6/42 draw way back in 1995 up to May 15, 2015, 2,021 bettors became instant millionaires by hitting the jackpot of the Lotto 6/42, 6/45, 6/49, 6/55 and 6/58 draws.

 

The multimillionaires for the 20-year period received a combined total jackpot of of P40,856,882,953.

The biggest jackpot won so far was claimed by a 60-year-old Filipino engineer working in the United States. He won Grand Lotto 6/55’s P714.17-million jackpot on November 29, 2010.

Lotto 6/42 draw yielded the most number of jackpot winners with 947.

The Lotto 6/45 draw had 751 jackpot winners, while the 6/49 draw had 275 winners, followed by the 6/55 game with 47 jackpot winners and the recently launched 6/58, with one jackpot winner so far.
